Creating value

I have experienced a range of capital events in my career and have been on most sides of most fences now. The highlight of working on any capital event is - for me - the fact it represents both the end of something and the start of something new.

I’ve helped founders exit their long-held companies, I’ve advised would-be acquirers, I’ve delivered pre-IPO investor roadshows, and I’ve helped raise money from VCs, PE firms, Family Offices, institutional investors, and public markets.

Creating value at each step is important. I focus on where the business could go next, how it can elevate its product, and how it can develop its future roadmap. All with view to making it more valuable.

I’ve worked on making companies rarer in their individual offering in order to add value. I’ve leveraged global expansion opportunities to add scaled value. I’ve merged multiple companies together in order to create value that is greater than the sum of the parts. And I’ve acquired businesses to fill strategic gaps.

Sometimes I work buy-side, helping acquirers understand opportunities and risks. I’ve also spent time sell-side, highlighting the full potential that can be unlocked and realised. Somewhere in the middle, I advise M&A ecosystems on futures, trends, and Product.

All in all, I’ve worked on more than 40 transactions.
